The pirate/bar maid Hortessia.




She was originally designed by the uber talented *neifaren in a random pic with teen Apollo but after I made up Skidaddles I decided to have her be his eventual wife as they are both Griffins.





They had a kinda will they wont they relationship for a while. So expect both lovey pics and her being annoyed at his failed flirting

Name: Hortessia (Hort-ess-ee-ah) aka Tess

Profession etc: Pirate Captain and Barmaid when on shore.








Personality




Is usually pretty laid back but she has a fiery temper if pushed to far.


Whilst she is a Pirate she does have strong morales and only plunders from the rich and never kills.


Despite her beauty she rarely uses it to her advantage and never flirts with any male unless she's actually dating him.


Enjoys socialising seeing it as a good way to make new allies and to possibly hear about something expensive or rare she and her crew might be able to plunder or find.


Once she strikes up a friendship with somene she is loyal to the end and expects the same from the one she befriended. Betrayal will always be met with some form of revenge.






Abilities



Skilled with most weapons and hand to hand combat but is a expert when it comes to sword fighting.


Her large wings means she is a excellent and very fast flyer,


Can create a blast of energy from her wings that knocks over most opponents giving her time to escape.


Having travelled around the world She is multilingual and can speak numerous different languages flawlessly.


Is quite skilled at tracking down items of importance or wealth with minimal information which makes her sought out by rich collectors looking for certain items.







Weaknesses



Basic magical knowledge bar the energy attack.


As with most Griffins she cannot fly well in bad weather and is grounded during the winter months.


Bit of risk taker and has ended up in prison more than once because of this.


Her refusal to ever kill any people she robs means she is usually identified quickly for any thefts and she more often that not has bounty hunters after her because of this.








Miscellaneous



Carries a enchanted Blade gifted to her from her father that grants her extra stamina and strength. She is very attached to it and will steal it back whenever it is taken from her be it by bounty hunter or the authorities who caught her no matter what the risk.


Before she finally fell for Skidaddles she found him to be extremely annoying and somewhat creepy and only after seeing his caring side when he was with baby Apollo did she agree to finally date him.


Has a complicated past with Thornacious as he has captured and jailed her on numerous occasions but she has also worked with him a few times and both have saved the others life. They did eventually become close friends once she got together with Skidaddles though.


Gets very annoyed when people say her name wrong and isn't fond of her nickname but tolerates it if she likes the person using it.


As part of her parole she had to work as a barmaid at Jeremy's bar. Even after it was finished she continued to work there part time whenever she could as it was extra money and so she might be able to pick up any interesting info from the customers.


Once she and Skidaddles eventually married she gave up her life as a Pirate but only after insuring all her crew could do the same.


Her ship The Silver Maiden was briefly turned into a make shift home for her and Skidaddles before they moved into a proper home. It now resides in a cave near Thorn's castle and she occasionally takes it out for a sail when she can.
